Well I suppose you could say that from now on we are a home educating family. To be honest we were part time home educating last year as Charlie only went to Steiner kindergarten 3 times a week but hey I feel we learn all the time, in set rules or no set way. We still follow a Steiner approach to play and gentle learning but we also unschool as in we don't have a timetable or follow a curriculum. We use media and IT for learning programmes and games and we also watch some TV. Mainly we just love being together all the time and doing our own thing :)
I am excited, tired, inspired by lots of wonderful HE mama's, happy, and a probably a hundred other emotions right now but I feel we are doing the right thing for us.
Peace is available in every moment, in every breath, in every step. Thich Nhat Hanh.

Losing someone you love..
I've been away from blogging for a little while for a few reasons but the one heartbreaking thing that kept my head and heart elsewhere was losing my beautiful grandma (in fact she was more like my mama). Really, she had a wonderful, full very long life and was surrounded by her loving family who all adored her. She was doing yoga up until her 90th birthday and was as intelligent and inspirational as anyone could ever be. She very peacefully passed away in her sleep in her 99th year, just a few weeks short of her 100th birthday. Grandma was laid to rest dressed in the gorgeous dress she had bought to wear for her birthday party :)
Her funeral was a celebration of her life and it was so good to see so many cousins, aunties, uncles, friends etc that we haven't seen for along time. Charlie came to her funeral and was wonderful throughout the whole ceremony, he said he wanted to say goodbye too...sob..

Our Holiday in France
We had a wonderful holiday in Brittany, France. We stayed on a fab campsite in a Eurocamp caravan, in a beautiful area near Carantec. The weather wasn't wonderful but hey, we really didn't care, we enjoyed every minute of our adventure anyway.
This amazing statue of the Buddha was in a Madagascan zoo, the animals had really wonderful natural enclosures and it was so lovely to wander around the stunning grounds and watch the animals who were so obviously cared for.
Charlie made friends with a sweet little boy, they played together every evening and on Leons last night of his hols, Charlie was invited to his caravan for tea. That's one thing about Charlie, he does make friends so easily wherever we go.
We spent lots of the holiday on various beaches searching for stones and shells for Charlies collection.

Bonjour.....we're back from our holiday.
We sat outside gorgeous little cafes, watching the world go by. We ate beautiful food and drank delicious wine, while Charlie tucked into his new favourite food of crusty french bread and butter..mmm.
I loved just wandering around the towns and Morlaix was very typically beautifully French :)
Me and our little traveller, who didn't really want to go to France but once he settled in he loved every minute.
We visited lots of gorgeous churches and lit candles for all our family and friends.Oh and I had to have a photo of me on my new bike after riding to the shop for our daily baguette lol.
