book sharing monday.

Love You Forever, written by Robert Munsch and illustrated by Sheila McGraw.
This is a gorgeous story of a new born baby boy going through the stages of childhood and becoming a man. It's also about the enduring nature of parents love and how it crosses generations. I just LOVE this beautiful book and charlie loves the repetition of the ''love you forever'' verse.
A mother held her new baby and very slowly rocked him back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while she held him, she sang: I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.

Then he went into the room where his new baby daughter was sleeping. He picked her up in his arms and very slowly rocked her back and forth, back and forth, back and forth. And while he rocked her he sang: I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be.

This is one of my all time favourite children's books. I used to read it to Nicholas when he was just a bumb nicknamed Splunge and it's still one of his favourites as well. =)
