Walks and Wildlife

A beautiful red squirrel at Fornby beach nature reserve. It's breathtaking how fast and agile these gorgeous creatures are. We are so very lucky to live close to this reserve and watch the elusive red squirrel

This is an amazing photo Warren took whilst he was feeding a grey squirrel a monkey nut. We were visiting Chester and discovered a small park with very friendly residents who were more than very happy to take nuts from our hands.

In Spring we visited Tatton Park, famous for its majestic deer. I feel very drawn to these graceful animals and could spend many hours just sitting quietly watching them. I am also lucky to have a husband who is a gifted photographer and can take such beautiful pictures for us to look back on.

A little bird with a big character, the Robin, such a handsome little bird.

We only have red squirrels here, and occasionally they scream at me from the top of a nut tree. Lovely creatures.

Love Formby squirrel reserve. I used to walk around there nearly everyday, as I was a Nanny just around the corner. We still make it there on our yearly visits to Southport. We are so lucky to have wild deer here, and I look for them all the time, I will never get bored of them. xx

Very beautiful pictures of the squirrel and deer, it's so important to be thankful as you are for the variety of nature and the talents of your husband to snap the photographs for memories.

We intended to visit Formby before we left UK but never got around to it. I wish we had! But wonderful to see your pictures as it makes me feel I've been there a teeny bit. Such beautiful pictures. The red squirrels are so beautiful!
