Herbs and happiness..

Please excuse me while I get carried away with excitment as I have actually managed to grow some of our very own veg......yaay, yes I know to most folk this is a very small harvest, but I'm as pleased as anything :) Green Beans.

Lavender to keep away slugs and because its just beautiful.

Oooh lovely. I didn't realise slugs don't like lavender. I've got tomatoes growing and I'm so excited!

I read it somewhere that lavender keeps slugs at bay, hope it works!

Your harvest looks great - it is wonderful when everything starts to fruit and flower. Didn't know that about lavender either - My lavender hedge is at the front door and the veg round the back - hmm.
Loved the pictures of Charlie trying to climb into Daddy's case :)

It's addictive you know! You start off with a little patch, and then you look at all the bare bits of ground and think of what you veg you can grow, and then you end up eyeing up allotments...

Great looking beans. The more lavender the better, it's one of my favourites.
